Weifang Medical University (WMU)

Weifang Medical University (WMU) is a university based in Weifang city, Shandong province, China which offers courses in Medicine. Founded in 1951, Weifang Medical University has the most famous English-medium MBBS courses in China which are mainly for bachelor’s degree. WFMU is in the List of Institutions and Scale of Enrollment for Undergraduate Clinical Medicine Programs Taught in English for International Students. It pays much attention to international exchange and cooperation with other countries. Every year, large numbers of international graduates from WFMU pursue their Medical certificates in their own countries. For years the passing rate is always higher than other universities. You can easily find a satisfactory job in many countries if you graduate from WFMU. Weifang Medical University (WFMU) is a state-owned medical university. It is located in Weifang, the international Kite Capital, at the center of Shandong Peninsula. WFMU covers an area of more than 1.2 million square meters with 570,000 square meters construction area. Over the past decades, a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary pattern has been formed at WFMU which offered a number of disciplines including medical sciences, health management, general sciences, law and literature, with the medical sciences as the leading discipline. WFMU is authorized to grant bachelor and master degrees and recruit overseas students.

WFMU is authorized to recruit PhD candidates in collaboration with Shandong University, Southern Medical University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Shandong Medical Technology Educational Centre and the Basic-level Health Management Cadres Training Centre.

WFMU comprises 15 schools and departments， such as School of Humanities and Social Science， School of Public Health & Management， Nursing School， Dentistry School， Clinical Medicine Department， Anesthesiology Department，Medical Radiology Department and Preventive Medicine Department.

Teaching staff

At present, there are 1000 teaching staff， of which more than 400 have got advanced professional titles and 480 have got doctor and master degrees. There are 4 supervisors for doctoral students and nearly 200 for master students. There are 23 topnotch professionals at provincial and municipal levels，18 middle-aged and youth academic backbone at provincial level or above， 9 members with national allowance. And there are another 10 members who have been awarded the national labor model，the national advanced work， the “Labor Day” labor medal， the national advanced teacher， and the advanced worker in medicine.

There are 24 postgraduate programs， mainly enrolling postgraduates in Physiology， Immunology， Pharmacology， Anatomy, Embryology， Pathology and Pathophysiology，Pathogen Biology，Biochemistry and Molecule Biology，Internal Medicine，Surgery，Gynecology，Pediatrics， Ophthalmology，Otolaryngology， Dentistry， Neurology， Oncology， Traditional and Western Clinic Medicine，Emergency，Imaging and Nuclear Medicine， Nursing， Anesthesiology， Epidemiology and Health Statistics，Social Medicine and Health Cause Management and Applied Psychology. There are over 740 postgraduates students.
